*Pictures are slightly out of order, but go from Christmas Eve to Christmas day to Opryland Hotel*

**If you are still scrolling you get a star scroller award!!! Thanks for hanging in there with me**

Well another Christmas has come and gone, and the boys had a great one. We had a white Christmas-the first in 17 years-which led to the whole family crashin' at our house Christmas Eve. It was a fun time...and I know that everyone will remember this Christmas for awhile :)

We didn't make our usual trek to Opryland Hotel the week before Christmas due to my mom's back, so Kevin, Dylan, and Alex and I decided to go down the week after (Landen stayed at his home away from home!). Boy was it ever EXPENSIVE! But fun and memories were made, which is even more important to me.

Tomorrow night we are heading over to the Creek's for New Year's Eve. I am looking forward to spending some time with our friends and ringing in the New Year!!! Hope you all have had an enjoyable holiday season :)

Christmas Cooking

It's Christmas break...finally! The decorations are up and we are in full Christmas countdown mode :)

Tonight I decided to bake a little. Orange creamsicle fudge was on the top of my list to make!!! My husband got some as a gift from a student and it was DELISH...

Looks too pretty to cut so it's just sitting atop my washer now...away from little hands.

It's a pretty simple recipe with the above ingredients (plus white chocolate chips) added into sugar, butter, and heavy cream (that has been boiled). I plan to fill up some containers with some treats and send it over to the neighbors and of course keep some for Christmas day!

Planned on dipping these in chocolate, but they are soooo good by themselves!

Hope you are enjoying the season~

They're small things, but I love all of them...and much more!!!

More Fall Fun

Well it wouldn't be Fall Break without a trip to Nashville, IN with family! I love the fall decorations, the time to reconnect with my parents and hubby, and yes, the shopping!

Love this picture of two of my favorite guys!!

And Fall Break wouldn't be complete without working out on the land. Kevin found our first pet...a turtle!
Alex was determined to wait until the turtle (which Landen named David) popped out of his shell.

But he soon gave up and instead, placed an acorn hat on him and sang "Happy Birthday"! Love it!!!

And of course Fall Break wouldn't be complete without a little imgaination building with your brothers!

Short & Sweet

Yep, that was it...short & sweet. We met today at 4:00 to close on our land, and we were out by 4:30. Pretty painless (well if you call departing with a large amount of money painless) and waaaaay faster than I thought! So now we can put that on the back burner for awhile and focus on the upcoming event..................drumroll please...........

July

Well, we have blinked and it seems that summer is almost gone! These months have flown by. Here's a snippet of what July has involved...

Of course fireworks on the the 4th with family and friends. (Kevin just loved playing with the new camera, and props to my dad for being the photographer for the night!)

A new endeavor...the making of peach preserves with a good friend :)

And the most exciting part of all...the purchase of 2 acres!!!!

Of course the whole crew traipsed out there to check it out.

There are some glorious views, and I am itching to get out there and build!!!!

Everyone's in love with it...well everyone but our oldest! He freaks out about ticks and bees and flies bigger than a dime and basically anything that buzzes or sucks blood. Poor guy...wonder how he will adjust to country life?
We close August 9th, and I am anxious to have that behind us!! Say a prayer that everything will go smoothly!!
